[UPDATED] (Security Alert) Agent’s Journal: Do You Really Think I Was Born Yesterday?

Today I upset a hacker. It was such fun!

A few minutes ago I got a friend request from someone pretending to be a lady called Lisa Law Toper. I saw that she was friends with Agent M so I decided to add her. Then, immediately afterwards,’ she’ sent me a message, asking me to add her ‘main account’. The link was a tinyurl one. Yeah, right!

Time for some fun… I explained that my IT technician son had warned me that tinyurl was not safe, and requested that she sent me a direct link. It’s true that my son is an IT technician, but I too, am pretty clued up, myself. The next link came through, but what the silly person didn’t know was that I had switched computers. I have an old computer which I use for testing software etc, so if I get a virus or anything like that comes through, it doesn’t matter.

So, I clicked, and guess what!!! I was asked to sign into Facebook again.

With a big grin on my face I typed ‘Busted’, to which the person replied ‘die you old c**t’ before blocking me.

However, I was able to get my son to find the account on Facebook and report it.

Facebook has decided that this account has not been hacked – and did not attempt to phish me. We are all on our own when it comes to our safety. Good luck!

Joking aside, this is an account which has been hacked. I know that for a fact, since I know people who know the lady in question. Another one of my friends added her – and got locked out of her account. She did get her account back, but everything had to be reset. I don’t know if Facebook will act on my report, but in the meantime, please be careful. There is a chance that the person will change the name on the account in an attempt to draw more people in.

I would be extremely grateful if you could like and share this article to warn other Facebook users of the potential risk. In the meantime, if the real Ms Toper gets her account back, I will update this article.

Thank you for your time.
